Sri Ballala Vinayaka or Ballaleshwar of Pali Sri Ballala Vinayaka or Ballaleshwar temple of Pali Puranic Event:
Sri Ganesha saved His boy-devotee Ballala when he was severely beaten by his father and tied to a tree, for being engrossed in worshipping Lord Ganesha along with his friends. On the request of Ballala, Sri Ganesha permanently stayed there as Sri Ballala Vinayaka or Ballaleshwar.

Pilgrimage:
The Ballala Vinayaka temple is located in Pali in the Raigad district of Maharashtra. The river Amba flows nearby.

Sri Varad Vinayaka of Mahad:

Sri Varad Vinayaka of Mahad Sri Varad Vinayaka temple of Mahad Puranic Event:
Sri Ganesha blessed sage Grutsamad (who is said to be the founder of Ganapatya cult), when the sage meditated on Him and underwent a long penance. Sri Ganesha permanently stayed in that place (where Grutsamad performed penance) as Sri Varad Vinayaka.
