Journeys of Sri Rama:

Sri Rama Sri Rama travelled extensively during two phases of His life - The first is with sage Vishwamitra during boyhood when Vishwamitra took Rama and Lakshmana with him to protect his yagya. The second is during forest exile when Sri Rama had to spend twelve years in forest living the simple life like an ascetic. During both these journeys, Sri Rama passed through beautiful country-side, forests, crossed rivers and visited hermitages. These journeys are a treat for nature lovers and Valmiki Ramayana describes them with poetic expressions. Many of the places where Sri Rama travelled has become sacred pilgrimages and has defined the beautiful landscape of Bharatavarsha.
