How long to practise Self-Enquiry?

Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi

#. How long should enquiry be practised?

As long as there are impressions of objects in the mind, the enquiry "Who am I?" is required. As thoughts arise they should be destroyed then and there in the very place of their origin, through enquiry. If one resorted to contemplation of the Self without a break, until the Self is gained, that alone will do. As long as there are enemies within the fortress, they will continue to sally forth; if they are destroyed as they emerge, the fortress will fall into our hands.

Om, May there be Peace in Heaven,
May there be Peace in the Sky,
May there be Peace in the Earth,
May there be Peace in the Water,
May there be Peace in the Plants,
May there be Peace in the Trees,
May there be Peace in the Gods in the various Worlds,
May there be Peace in Brahman,
May there be Peace in All,
May there be Peace Indeed within Peace,
Giving Me the Peace which Grows within Me,
Om, Peace, Peace, Peace.

(Shanti Mantra of Upanishad)

Preserve Nature,
And Nature will preserve Us,
Simplify Life,
And make the Nature thrive,
Plant Trees,
And make our planet Green.
