• I meditate on Devi Yogamaya who woke up Lord Vishnu from Yoga Nidra and deluded demons Madhu and Kaitabha, when Lord Brahma invoked her earnestly. (Devi Mahatmyam - 1)

• मधुकैटभविध्वंसि विधातृवरदे नमः (Madhukaittabha-Vidhvamsi Vidhaatr-Varade Namah): Who destroyed the demons Madhu and Kaitabha granting the boon of protection to Lord Brahma. (Argala Stotram - verse 3)

4. Incarnation of Devi Chandika:

1. Vanquishing demon Mahishasura:

• I meditate on Devi Chandika who slayed demon Mahishasura along with his armies in a fierce battle. (Devi Mahatmyam - 2 to 3)

5. Incarnation of Devi Chandika and Kali:

• I meditate on Devi Chandika who killed demon Dhumralochana with a mere humkara. (Devi Mahatmyam - 6)

• I meditate on Devi Raktadantika who slayed the demons who were descendants of Vipracitti in a fierce battle. (Devi Mahatmyam - 11)

1. Incarnating as Devi Shakambhari (Shatakshi):

• I meditate on Devi Shakambhari who appeared before the Brahmanas and Devas with innumerable eyes when they prayed to Her intensely. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda 7 - 28)

• अनंताक्षिमयं रूपं दर्शयामास पार्वती (Ananta-Akssimayam Ruupam Darshayaamaasa Paarvatii): Devi Parvati manifested Herself in a divine form shining with innumerable Eyes. (Shakambhari Mahatmyam - verse 34)

• I meditate on Devi Shatakshi who removed the draught with the tears of her own eyes. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda 7 - 28)

• नमस्ते शतलोचने (Namaste Shatalocane): Salutations to the one with hundred eyes (Who removed the draught from earth with Her own tears). (Shakambhari Mahatmyam - verse 69)

3. Sustaining the earth with vegetation:

• I meditate on Devi Shakambhari who sustained the earth with vegetation created from her own power. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda 7 - 28)

• नमः शाकंभरि शिवे (Namah Shaakambhari Shive): Salutations to the auspicious Shakambhari (Who sustained the earth by providing vegetation during the draught). (Shakambhari Mahatmyam - verse 69)

4. Manifesting the Mahashaktis:

• I meditate on Devi Shakambhari who manifested the Mahashaktis from her body during the battle with demon Durgama. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda 7 - 28)

5. Vanquishing demon Durgama:

• I meditate on Devi Shakambhari who slayed demon Durgama in a fierce battle and resurrected the Vedas. (Devi Bhagavatam 7.28) (Devi Mahatmyam - 11)

• दुर्गामासुरनाशिनि (Durgaamaasura-Naashini): Who is the destroyer of demon Durgama. (Shakambhari Mahatmyam - verse 70)

9. Incarnation of Devi Bhimadevi:

• I meditate on Bhimadevi who protected the Munis in the Himalayas from the demons. (Devi Mahatmyam - 11)

• I meditate on Devi Bhramari (or Bhramara) who appeared before the Devas with rows of bees on Her hands when the Devas performed penance invoking her to vanquish Arunasura. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda - 10 - 13)

2. Vanquishing demon Arunasura:

• I meditate on Devi Bhramari who slayed demon Arunsura and other demons by sending bees and other insects from her body. (Devi Bhagavatam - Skanda 10 - 13) (Devi Mahatmyam - 11)
