Mount Kailasha

कैलाश):
Lord Shiva has his abode in the Kailasha Mountain. Lake Mansarovara is located nearby.

Amarnatha
(
अमरनाथ):
Lord Shiva told the Amar Katha (secret of immortality) to Devi Parvati in the Amarnath Cave.
3. ☗
Kedarnatha
(
केदारनाथ):
Lord Shiva granted boons to devotees Nara and Narayana in the Kedarnath Mountain and abided there as the Kedarnatha Jyotirlinga for their worship.

Vindhya Range

विंध्य):
Lord Shiva granted boon to the Vindhya Mountain when he performed penance to get the power to grow higher. Lord Shiva then abided there as the Omkareshwara Jyotirlinga.

Brahmagiri
(
ब्रह्मगिरि):
Lord Shiva relieved devotee sage Gautama (as a result of his penance in the Brahmagiri Mountain) from the false accusation of brahmanas and released river Ganga (Gautami Ganga or Godavari) from his matted hairs. Lord Shiva then abided there as Tryambakeshwara Jyotirlinga.

Shiva-Parvati came to meet their son Kumara and abided as Jyoti (in the Shrishaila Mountain region).

अरुणाचल):
Lord Shiva manifested as the infinite Taijasha Lingam before Brahma and Vishnu, and later changed to Arunachala mountain for the worship of the Devas.
