1. Shiva Temples:

  1. Amarnath: Amarnath Shiva Temple, Anantanag district, Jammu and Kashmir Amarnath - Shiva Temple (Anantanag district): A famous pilgrimage of Lord Shiva and a Shakti Peetha [Kashmira Shakti Peetha] (SP-4).
    - Lord Shiva told the Amar Katha to Devi Parvati. Where the Kanthadesha (Region of the Neck) of Devi had fallen.

  2. Sudh Mahadev temple, Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir Udhampur - Sudh Mahadev Temple (Udhampur district)
    - A famous temple of Shiva associated with the legend of devotee Sudheet.


2. Shakti Peethas and Devi Temples:

  1. Kashmira Shakti Peetha: Amarnath Shiva Temple, Anantanag district, Jammu and Kashmir Amarnath - Shiva Temple (Anantanag district): A famous pilgrimage of Lord Shiva and a Shakti Peetha [Kashmira Shakti Peetha] (SP-4).

  3. Sharada Peeth: Devi Saraswati Kashmir - Sharada Peeth (PoK)
    - An ancient pilgrimage of Devi Sharada which is the ancient Sharada Peeth of Kashmir. Adi Shankara ascended to the Sarvajna Peetham here.

  4. Vaishno Devi: Vaishno Devi, Reasi district, Jammu and Kashmir Vaishno Devi - Devi Vaishnavi Temple (Reasi district): Located on the Trikuta Parvat.
    - A famous pilgrimage of Devi Vaishnavi.

  5. Kheer Bhawani, Ganderbal district, Jammu and Kashmir Tulla Mulla - Kheer Bhawani Temple (Ganderbal district)
    - A sacred spring worshipped as Ragnya Devi.

  6. Sharika Devi Temple, Srinagar district, Jammu and Kashmir Srinagar - Sharika Devi Temple (Srinagar district): Located on the Hari Parbat.
    - A famous temple of Sharika Devi.


3. Temples related to Saints:

  1. Shankaracharya: Kashmir - Sharada Peeth (PoK)
    - An ancient pilgrimage of Devi Sharada which is the ancient Sharada Peeth of Kashmir. Adi Shankara ascended to the Sarvajna Peetham here.

  2. Shankaracharya: Srinagar - Shankaracharya Temple (Srinagar district)
    - An ancient temple associated with Sri Adi Shankaracharya.
