1. Sri Ganesha & demon Vignashura: Sri Ganesha defeated demon Vignashura and checked his atrocities. Sri Ganesha permanently stayed in that place (of battle) as Sri Vighneshwara. (The legends of Sri Ganesha are mentioned in Ganesha Purana and Mudgala Purana)

- River Kukadi: Ozar is located on the banks of river Kukadi.

• Location: Vigneshwar Temple is located in Ozar, in the Pune district of Maharashtra. The temple can be visited from Aurangabad (180 km) and Pune (225 km).
