Hermitages - from Valmiki Ramayana

  1. Anga Ashrama (At Anga): Sri Rama visited Anga with sage Vishwamitra, which had hermitages of sages who were disciples of Lord Shiva.
  2. Siddhashrama: Sri Rama visited Siddhashrama with sage Vishwamitra, which had the hermitage of sage Vishwamitra (which was the earlier hermitage of Vamana Avatara of Lord Vishnu).
  3. Gautama-Ahalya Ashrama (At Mithila outskirts): Sri Rama visited the Gautama-Ahalya Ashrama with sage Vishwamitra, which was in a dilapidated state, and which was the erstwhile hermitage of Sage Gautama and Devi Ahalya.
  4. Bharadwaja Ashrama (At Prayaga): Sri Rama visited the Bharadwaja Ashrama at Prayaga during his forest exile.
  5. Valmiki Ashrama (At Chitrakoota): Sri Rama visited the Valmiki Ashrama at Chitrakoota during his forest exile.
  6. Atri-Anusuya Ashrama (At Chitrakoota): Sri Rama visited the Atri-Anusuya Ashrama at Chitrakoota during his forest exile.
  7. Sharabhanga Ashrama (At Dandakaranya): Sri Rama visited the Sharabhanga Ashrama at Dandakaranya during his forest exile.
  8. Suteekshna Ashrama (At Dandakaranya): Sri Rama visited the Suteekshna Ashrama at Dandakaranya during his forest exile.
  9. Various hermitages (At Dandakaranya): Sri Rama visited various other hermitages of sages at Dandakaranya for 10 years during his forest exile.
  10. Agastya brother Ashrama (Near Panchavati): Sri Rama visited the Agastya brother Ashrama near Panchavati during his forest exile.
  11. Agastya Ashrama (Near Panchavati): Sri Rama visited the Agastya Ashrama near Panchavati during his forest exile.
  12. Matanga Ashrama (Near Pampa Sarovar): Sri Rama visited the Matanga Ashrama near Pampa Sarovar during his forest exile.
  13. Sapta Jana Ashrama (At Kishkindha): Sri Rama saw the Sapta Jana Ashrama at Kishkindha during his forest exile.
