Lord Parashurama

• Meditation: I meditate on the Parashurama Avatara of Lord Vishnu.

• Sage Jamadagni telling Parashurama to perform expiation: When Parashurama returned to the hermitage of his father Jamadagni and reported everything, his father told him to perform expiation for the sin of killing the kshatriyas. Parashurama asked him the method of expiation. His father told him to perform penance on Mahendra mountain for twelve years subsisting only on roots and fruits.

• Parashurama performing penance in Mahendra mountain for expiation: Parashurama therefore went to the Mahendra mountain and started performing penance.
