(Devi Mahatmyam - 2 - verses 32 to 33)
• During the battle with Mahishasura, the terrible stance of the Devi is described after She manifested from the combined powers of the Trinity (Brahma - Vishnu - Shiva) and the devas. With a loud roar and deafening laughter She made all the directions reverberate. The earth quaked, the seas trembled and the mountains rocked.
