Kedarnatha Jyotirlinga
Kedarnatha Jyotirlinga: Lord Shiva granting boon to devotees Nara and Narayana:
(Shiva Purana - Koti Rudra Samhita - 19)

•
Meditation: I meditate on the Kedarnatha Jyotirlinga where Lord Shiva granted boon to devotees Nara and Narayana.
•
Nara and Narayana worshipping Lord Shiva: Nara and Narayana, two incarnations of Hari, performed tapas in Bharata Khanda at
Badaryashrama. They worshipped Lord Shiva in a Parthiva Linga. Shiva used to come there daily since he is subservient to his devotees. They continued to worship Shiva for a long time.
•
Lord Shiva giving boon: Shiva became pleased and one day appeared before them and told them to ask for a boon. They requested Lord Shiva to abide there so that they can worship him. Lord Shiva abided there in that snow-clad Kedara mountains in the form of a Jyotirlinga. This Linga worshipped by Nara and Narayana removes all sorrows and sins. Lord Shiva fulfils the wishes of the devotees there. One who sees this Jyotirlinga in the Badari forest becomes free from all sins and finally becomes liberated.
