Tatpurusha Incarnation
(Shiva Purana - Shata Rudra Samhita - 1)
•
Meditation: I meditate on the
Tatpurusha Incarnation of Shiva of yellow complexion who is associated with Wind.
•
Events: In the twenty first kalpa known as Pitavasa, Brahma meditated to get a son. A highly resplendent son appeared who was clad in yellow garments and had long arms. Knowing Him to be the
Tatpurusha Incarnation of Shiva, Brahma worshipped Him chanting the Shiva Gayatri. Then several divine sons appeared, all clad in yellow garments who were the awakener of the yoga marga.
The Tatpurusha Incarnation is associated with Vayu (Air or Wind) and Sparsha (Touch), and related aspects like Twac, Paani, Gunas and Bhoga.
