(Shiva Purana - Uma Samhita - 51)

Devi Durga
यः कार्तिकस्य मार्गस्य पौस्य तपसस्तथा ।
तपस्यस्य सिते पत्रे तृतीयायां व्रतं चरेत् ॥८०॥
लोहितैः करवीराद्यैः पुष्पैर्धूपैः सुगन्धितैः ।
पूजयेन्मङ्गलां देवीं स सर्वं मङ्गलं लभेत् ॥८१॥

Yah Kaartikasya Maargasya Pausya Tapasastathaa |
Tapasyasya Site Patre Trtiiyaayaam Vratam Caret ||80||
Lohitaih Karaviira-[A]adyaih Pusspair-Dhuupaih Sugandhitaih |
Puujayen-Manggalaam Deviim Sa Sarvam Manggalam Labhet ||81||
