Boon of sage Durvasa
Dwaraka: Boon of sage Durvasa:
(Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 4)

•
Sri Krishna and sage Durvasa abiding in Dwaraka: I meditate on
Sri Krishna and sage
Durvasa giving boons and abiding in Dwaraka.
• When Sri Krishna served sage Durvasa, he became pleased and told Sri Krishna to ask for a boon. Sri Krishna asked the boon that the sage should always remain there. Sage Durvasa agreed under the condition that Sri Krishna also needs to ever abide there with his sixteen attributes. Sri Krishna agreed and said that whenever the devotees come to see the sage, they will also see him.
• Sri Krishna asked sage Durvasa, what fruits he will grant the devotees. Sage Durvasa replied that whoever bathes in the confluence of river Gomati and the sea, they will become free from sins. Also, whoever offers wealth to him as per his requirement after taking bath, their wealth will grow sixteen times.
• Sri Krishna said that if after worshipping the sage, one worships him, he will grant the devotee a state of liberation which is rare even to gods.
