Sri Ramakrishna singing devotional songs:

Dakshineshwar Kali Events:

Ref: Sri Ramakrishna the Great Master - Part 2 - Ch 6: Singing devotional songs with overwhelming emotion: After Ramkumar passed away Sri Ramakrishna intensely yearned for the vision of the Divine Mother. At that time after the temple worship was over he used to sit before the Divine Mother and became absorbed in Her. With overwhelming emotion he used to sing devotional songs of devotees like Ramprasad, Kamalakanta and others.

Ref: Sri Ramakrishna the Great Master - Part 2 Ch 5: Songs touching the hearts of all: When Sri Ramakrishna used to sing devotional songs with overwhelming emotions with his sweet voice, it touched the hearts of all. Nobody could forget them. There was no artificiality in the singing and it was sung with the correctness of time and cadence. Whoever heard his songs became convinced that emotion was the very heart of songs. When he sang those songs he became completely absorbed in their mood and offered his entire heart to God. God was as if awakened by his songs.
