Sri Ramakrishna longing for Krishna
Sri Ramakrishna longing for Krishna:
Events:
Ref: Sri Ramakrishna the Great Master - Part 2 - Ch 14: Sri Ramakrishna longing for Krishna: Sri Ramakrishna plucked flowers from the temple garden and prepared garlands from them. He adorned the image of Radha-Govinda with the garlands. Sometimes he adorned the Divine Mother and imploringly prayed to Her like the Gopis prayed to Devi Katyayani to have Krishna as their husband.
Sri Ramakrishna spent his days in eager prayer and longing for Krishna. The longing did not cease anytime and continued day and night. He shed copious tears due to separation from Krishna. His anxious pining developed into a sort of madness making him give up food, sleep etc. That pangs of separation churned his heart's blood and devastated his mind and body. The burning sensation came back to his body (which he felt during early stages of Sadhana). Sri Ramakrishna said that drops of blood sometimes oozed out from every pore of his body. Sometimes he lay motionless and unconscious like a dead man.
His pangs of yearning was beyond description.
