•
Meditation: I meditate on Sri Rama breaking the bow of Lord Shiva in Mithila.
•
Sri Rama breaking the bow of Lord Shiva: With the permission of sage Vishwamitra, king Janaka brought the bow which was kept in a case with eight wheels and was worshipped with garland and sandalpaste. Five thousand men somehow tugged that case and brought it before Sri Rama. With the permission of sage Vishwamitra, Sri Rama opened the case, grabbed the bow in the middle and lifted it effortlessly. Then Sri Rama stretched that bow till his ears and broke it in the middle. There was a huge explosion which made all the people fall down except Sri Rama, Lakshmana, sage Vishwamitra and king Janaka.
