Meditation: I meditate on Sri Rama hearing the story of the bow of Lord Shiva from king Janaka.
•
Sri Rama hearing the story of the bow of Lord Shiva: During the Daksha Yagna, the powerful Rudra in rage outstretched the bowstring and threatened the gods to destroy them since they had not apportioned his share in the Yagna. The gods became frightened and supplicated Lord Shiva and pleased him. Lord Shiva became pleased and handed over the bow to the gods. The gods gave bow that to Devarata, the ancestor of king Janaka for custodial care.
