Presence of Sri Krishna in Dwaraka:

Curse of sage Durvasa (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 2 to 3)
- Dwarka - Dwarkadheesh Temple & Devi Rukmini Temple: Due to the curse of sage Durvasa, the temples of Sri Krishna and Devi Rukmini are separate in Dwarka.

Boon of sage Durvasa (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 4)
- Dwarka - Sage Durvasa shrine: Sri Krishna and sage Durvasa each granted fruits to the devotees who visit Dwarka. The shrine of sage Durvasa is within the Dwarkadheesh Temple.

Sri Krishna delivering king Nriga (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 10)
- Dwarka - Nriga Kund or Krilakalasa Kund: King Nriga became a lizard due to the curse of brahmanas. Sri Krishna liberated him from the curse. There is a Nriga Kund or Krilakalasa Kund in Dwarka.

Sri Krishna meeting Gopis in Dwaraka (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 12 to 13)
- Dwarka - Gopi Talav: Sri Krishna sent Uddhava to Gokula. Uddhava brought the Gopis to Dwaraka. Sri Krishna created a lake in the name of the Gopis. Gopi Talav of Dwarka is identified with this lake. Gopi Talav is around 20 km from the Dwarka city.


Panchanada Tirtha in Dwaraka:

Panchanada Tirtha (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 14)
- Dwarka - Brahma Kund, Pandava Wells: After Sri Krishna came to Dwaraka, other gods also came there and created their Tirthas. Also the gods invoked five rivers in Dwaraka which were sanctified by five sages. In Dwarka there is Brahma Kund and other kunds associated with gods. Also, there are five wells associated with five Pandava brothers. Five different rivers were invoked in the well by five sages.


Presence of river Gomati in Dwaraka:

Penance of Kumaras and emergence of river Gomati (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 5)
- Dwarka - Gomti Ghat: The Kumaras (Sanaka etc.) performed penance in Dwaraka and got the darshan of Lord Vishnu. Lord Brahma instructed river Ganga to flow in Dwarka following sage Vasishtha. Dwarka has an extensive Gomti Ghat with the temple of Devi Gomti.

Gomati - Sagara Sangama (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 8)
- Dwarka - Gomti Sagar Sangam: In Dwaraka, river Gomati merges with the Sea. This confluence is a very holy place which is known as the Gomati - Sagara Sangama. There is a Samudra Narayan Temple in Dwarka in this confluence.


Presence of Lord Shiva in Dwaraka:

Siddheshwara and Rishi Tirtha (Skanda Purana - Dwaraka Mahatmya - 15)
- Dwarka - Siddheshwar Mahadev: The Kumaras (Sanaka etc) worshipped Lord Shiva in Dwarka accompanied by the performance of Yoga. Lord Brahma named the Shiva Linga as Siddheshwara and the place as Rishi Tirtha. In Dwarka, there is an ancient Siddheshwar Mahadev Temple.

Nageshwara Jyotirlinga (Shiva Purana - Koti Rudra Samhita - 29 to 30)
- Dwarka - Nageshwar Temple: Lord Shiva protected devotee Supriya from the atrocities of demon Daruka. Dwarka has the famous Nageshwar Temple identified with this Jyotirlinga. The temple is around 20 km from the Dwarka city.
