Sri Krishna returning the dead son of Sandipani Muni in Avanti

Avanti: Sri Krishna returning the dead son of Sandipani Muni:

(Srimad Bhagavatam - Skanda 10 - 45)

Sri KrishnaMeditation: I meditate on Sri Krishna returning the dead son of Sandipani Muni as guru dakshina.

Sri Krishna returning the dead son of Sandipani Muni: Sri Krishna returned the dead son of Sandipani Muni as guru dakshina. After learning the sixty-four arts, Sri Krishna asked Sandipani Muni for guru-dakshina. Considering his superhuman power, Sandipani Muni asked the dakshina of returning his dead son who died in the ocean at Prabhasa. Sri Krishna went to Prabhasa and asked the ocean God to return the son of Sandipani Muni. The ocean god said that a demon named Panchajana (in the form of conch) had taken away the son. Sri Krishna entered the ocean and killed Panchajana, but could not find the boy inside his stomach. He took way the conch-shell around the demon's body and went to the capital of Yamaraja at Samyamani. Yaamraja brought the son. Sri Krishna returned him to his guru and fulfilled his guru-dakshina. Sri Krishna then returned to Mathura and brought happiness to the people.
