खर्बूजं मूत्रलं बल्यं कोष्ठशुद्धिकरं गुरु
स्निग्धं स्वादुकरं शीतं वृष्यं पित्तानिलापहम् ॥२॥

Snigdham Svaadu-Karam Shiitam Vrssyam Pitta-Anila-Apaham ||2||

Meaning:
2.1: Kharbuja (Musk Melon) is Mutrala (Diuretic, promotes the production of Urine), Balya (Strength-Giving), purifier of Kostha (Abdomen where undigested food resides) and Guru (Heavy, making Big or Fat),
2.2: It is Snigdha (Literally means Slippery, Unctuous, Oily. It has the effect of making Wet or Moistening), Swadu (Sweet), Shita (Cold), Vrishya (Aphrodisiac, enhances Semen, improves Sexual vigour) and mitigates Pitta (A Dosha in Ayurveda which is compared to the Sun [Heating Principle]. The qualities are heat, sharp acting, fluidity etc) and Vaata (A Dosha in Ayurveda which is compared to Air (responsible for movement). The qualities are coldness, dryness, lightness etc),

3.1: Among it which is Amla Madhura (Tastes Sour with a Sweet tinge) and Kshaara (Alkaline substances which are Caustic ,Biting and Corrosive) in taste, ...
3.2: ... aggravates Raktapitta (Spontaneous Hemorrhage normally from mouth or nose) and highly aggravates Mutrakrcchra (Dysuria, painful or difficult Urination).
