- प्र नूनं ब्रह्मणस्पतिर्मन्त्रं वदत्युक्थ्यम् । यस्मिन्निन्द्रो वरुणो मित्रो अर्यमा देवा ओकांसि चक्रिरे ॥
[Pra Nuunam Brahmannaspatir-Mantram Vadaty-Ukthyam | Yasmin(n)-Indro Varunno Mitro Aryamaa Devaa Okaamsi Cakrire] (RV 1.40.5)
O Brahmanaspati, you indeed (Nuunam) recite (Vadati) the mantras (Mantram) praising (Ukthya) (the devas) (in those yagnas), in which (Yasmin) the devas Indra, Varuna, Mitra and Aryama had made (Cakrire) their abode (Okaamsi) (i.e. you indeed are the power behind the mantras of the yagna in which the devas come).
