O Mitra-Varuna, by the Rita (Cosmic Order) of yours (Vaam), immovable (Dhruvam) Rita is placed (Apihitam) where (Yatra) the horses (Ashvaan) of Surya (i.e. rays of Sun) are released (Vimucanti); (From where) thousands (Dasha Shataa) (of rays of the Sun emanate, there) I saw (Apashyam) that (Tad) one (Ekam) beautiful form (Vapussaam) who is the greatest (Shressttham) among the devas (Devaanaam).

O Mitra-Varuna, you who are the kings (Raajaanaa), hold (Adhaarayatam) the Earth (Prthiviim) and (Uta) Heaven (Dyaam) by your might (Mahobhih); You (i.e. your Cosmic Order) are the prompt (Jiira) givers (Daanu) (of the gifts of Nature to man) - you make the vegetation (Ossadhiih) grow (Vardhayatam), you make the cattle (Gaa) flourish (Pinvatam) and you make the rains (Vrssttim) shower (Srjatam) downwards.
