- सं पूषन्नध्वनस्तिर व्यंहो विमुचो नपात् । सक्ष्वा देव प्र ण्स्पुरः ॥
[Sam Puussan(n)-Adhvanas-Tira Vy-Amho Vimuco Napaat | Sakssvaa Deva Pra Nnspurah] (RV 1.42.1)
O Pushan, convey (Tira) us across the path (Adhvanah) (freeing from it) sins (Amha), O son (Napaat) of the liberator (Vimucah) (from sins); O Deva, go (Sakssvaa) before (Purah) us (Nah) (in the path).

- यो नः पूषन्नघो वृको दुःशेव आदिदेशति । अप स्म तं पथो जहि ॥
[Yo Nah Puussan(n)-Agho Vrko Duhsheva Aadideshati | Apa Sma Tam Patho Jahi] (RV 1.42.2)
O Pushan, he who (Yah) is a sinner (Agha), robber (Vrkah) or wicked (Duhshevah), and shows (Aadideshati) us (Nah) (the wrong path); Slay (Jahi) him (Tam) in the path (Pathah).
