O Surya, you have risen (Ud-Agaad) in the sky, you who are the bright (Citram) face (Aniikam) of the devas (Devaanaam) and the eye (Cakssuh) of Mitra, Varuna and Agni (which signifies eye of Cosmic Order); O Surya, you have filled (Aapraa) the Heaven (Dyavaa), Earth (Prthivi) and Space (Antarikssam) (with your brightness), you who are the soul (Aatmaa) of all moving (Jagatah) and (Ca) non-moving (Tasthussah) beings.
