- At present, the Bindu Sarovar is in the form of a kunda with steps around it. There is a temple on one side of the Bindu Sarovar with the images of sage Kardama, mother Devahuti, sage Kapila and Sri Gaya Gadadhar Vishnu.
• Bindu Sarovar is primarily a Kapila Sthalam (Pilgrimage of Kapila) where where sage Kapila incarnated from sage Kardama (father) and Devahuti (mother). The hermitage of sage Kardama and sage Kapila was situated in Bindu Sarovara.
- Sage Kapila who was an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, incarnated in Bindu Sarovara. He taught the knowledge of Sankhya Yoga to the world. He did this by first imparting this knowledge to his own mother Devahuti.
- Sage Kardama performed penance in Bindu Sarovara and obtained sage Kapila as his son.

- Sri Parashurama is said to have performed Matru Shraddha here (for decapitating mother Renuka) after bathing in Bindu Sarovara.

- Sage Kardama had his hermitage in Bindu Sarovar, performed penance in Bindu Sarovara and obtained sage Kapila as his son.
- Sage Kapila had his hermitage in Bindu Sarovar and imparted the knowledge of Sankhya Yoga to mother Devahuti in Bindu Sarovara.
Siddhpur Bindu Sarovar is identified with the Bindu Sarovara mentioned in Srimad Bhagavatam where sage Kardama performed penance and sage Kapila incarnated.
